Many buildings were illuminated to mark the occasion of 71st Independence Day. The use of LED lighting not only enhanced the look of the buildings but was also responsible for decreasing the energy consumption and electricity bill.
Buildings included India Gate, New Delhi and Raisena hills which were lighted in tricolors; meanwhile in MUMBAI, Taj Mahal hotel building, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and BMC headquarters were illuminated in Indian tricolor ahead of the Independence Day; the facade of Taj Bengal, a beautiful and premium property of Tata group of hotels was illuminated with colors of the Indian flag in Kolkata.
The increase use of LED lighting has tremendously cut down the cost on electricity for the government. It is energy saving as well as cost effective way to decorate and celebrate the feeling of Independence all over the country.
