The Claridges, New Delhi is one of the best-known hotels located in the heart of Lutyen’s Delhi. The Anusha Technovision Pvt. Ltd. (ATPL) team conceived a comprehensive automation system. It was aimed at fulfilling the client’s need of adding convenience and exclusivity. The objective was to put all the lights under lighting controls and the required effect were to be made available with the dimming of the lights.
In order to save energy, the room system was linked to the room thermostat along with lighting while presence detector was used to turn on the correct state of illumination in presence or absence of the guest in the room. The Do Not Disturb (DND) function and the Housekeeping mode were also designed to be activated from the same keypad. When DND is activated, the doorbell is disabled and the DND sign on the outside keypad is highlighted. A single keypad by the side of the bed for lighting, shades and the DND functionality further reduces wall clutter.

The Controls Used:
- Motorized shading systems have been installed that can be controlled from a single keypad with programmable timers raising and lowering your blinds and shades at the perfect hours during the day.
- In order to add to convenience, custom-engraved and backlit keypads were placed near the bed side and also near the entrance. An innovation adopted was the absence of the Key Card.
- The Room Automation System was designed to detect guest presence and absence for the system to act accordingly.
