Osram illuminated the tracks at the Red Bull Crashed Ice event which took place in Boston in the month of February. The infused LED lighting successfully guided riders downhill, over jumps and other obstacles during the sporting event. The riders were also given LED embedded gear as they traversed the track. The event featured some of the best and toughest skaters in the world who battled it out on a steep downhill course, four at a time, shoulder to shoulder, reaching speeds of 50 miles per hour as they raced for the finish line which was highlighted with Osram’s LEDs. The LED lights used were from Osram’s Flex product family that can be moulded to fit inside the ice to illuminate the track and obstacles.
