Current, powered by GE introduced a latest LED replacement lamp designed to replace 1000W high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps. The product, which fits existing HID lamp fixtures, has benefits such as 60 percent less electricity consumption than the HID lamp it replaces.
According to Current, with a majority of U.S. industrial facilities still depending on HID lighting, a product such as the 1000W LED replacement could potentially cut down electricity consumption that will eventually save millions of dollars.
The 1000W HID replacement lamp fills an important gap in the market for industrial, warehouse and outdoor lighting customers. The product boasts features such as simplicity of installation, consistent light distribution, and most importantly, long-term dramatic savings.
Current by GE also introduced two new lighting controls products. The products are now made commercially available. Daintree One offers lighting control solution for applications such as closets, storage rooms, and restrooms which require minimal lighting.
Daintree EZ Connect provides a room-based wireless solution for use in commercial buildings, schools, and hospitals. EZ Connect lets a group of neighboring fixtures communicate without the requiring a separate gateway. Both products use embedded wireless occupancy and daylight sensors and can be set up, commissioned, and controlled via a mobile app.
