Orion is a US-based provider of enterprise-grade LED lighting and energy project solutions. Recently, the company has announced the receipt of a contract worth $3.6 million to install Orion’s LED lighting systems in two US government facilities. The projects are expected to start in 2019.
The leading LED lighting solutions company is going to replace T5, T8, compact fluorescent and HID lighting systems with its energy-efficient LED lighting platforms and controls. The main agenda behind the lighting upgrade is to provide support in the environmental, energy-efficient and cost savings goals.
As per Orion CEO, Mike Altschaefl, the company is extremely pleased to expand their support in Government’s energy efficiency and facility lighting endeavours with their newest LED lighting solutions. After the installation of the lighting solutions, the customers can expect to lower energy usage for lighting by almost 50% per facility.
The implementation of LEDs would also provide better illumination. These savings should allow the full compensation of all project costs in just a few years, followed by two decades of continued savings and high performance.
