The Tampa Bay Lightning started their season by defeating the Florida Panthers with the unveiling of a new LED lighting system at Amalie Arena. The lighting is both fan and environment friendly. The new lighting, Eaton Corp.’s Ephesus Lumadapt LED Sports Lighting System, cost around $600,000 to install, according to reports. In the year 2011, the arena‘s lighting was last updated immediately after owner Jeff Vinik bought the team and began the first of several multimillion-dollar upgrades.
As per the statement, most modern LED lighting system available in sports has been installed at the Amalie Arena which made a debut on the day when the Green Sports Alliance celebrated Green Sports Day. The facility operations team will benefit from the multiple advantages that LED lighting offers and environment will benefit as the carbon footprint will be decreased.
