Recently, the headquarters got new lighting along with IoT. The building features a lighting platform from Current, powered by GE that will render dynamic IoT business applications for now as well as for the future.
Being one of the largest technology companies based in Charleston, South Carolina USA, the enterprise set up a lighting infrastructure that will deliver 80 percent energy savings for lighting as compared to CFLs.
Additionally, the company also installed sensor technology. And, according to current by GE, this will make the area responsive to human and environmental factors that will improve office productivity. The diverse range of lighting has been installed that includes a portfolio of LED fixtures to present an elegant look for the eco-friendly office area.
The LED lighting system has Daintree wireless controls that give it daylight harvesting ability through the use of natural light to offset electricity usage for lighting. Greenlight IoT had commissioned and installed the systems. The advantages of these implementation are energy savings as well as a reduction in the installation costs.
The connected LED lighting solution will save an extra 20 percent in energy costs compared to a standard LED solution, according to Current. Blackbaud Inc. will also lower down the energy consumption with the help of zonal controls and the potential to dynamically dim Current’s LED fixtures.
