Leading tomato producer from Northern Italy has invested in LED technology in order to increase the yield and improve plant quality. LED grow lights are soon going to capture the market when it comes to supplement lighting or artificial lighting required to grow plants. They are energy conserving and are advantageous in increasing the plant yield significantly.
Heliospectra AB notified about a new order from Heliospectra’s Italian reseller Ageon S.r.l. The order is for Italy’s prominent commercial tomato producers Gandini Antonio S.S. located in northern Italy, Basically, meant to increase the quality and yield of the plant. The cost of the order is about $99,000.
“We are now starting to reap the rewards of our increased focus working with commercial producers in the food industry, as well as building strong partnerships with well-known local resellers. By introducing the high-voltage E50 solution we are able to serve a segment we haven’t been able to serve so far. Commercial growers, like Gandini Antonio, recognize the value and business advantages of upgrading to LED technology,” said Ali Ahmadian, CEO of Heliospectra.
The order comprises of Heliospectra’s new E50 series lighting system which is a 500W, long lasting industrial standard high voltage LED lighting range. This range has been invented to complement the Heliospectra’s commercial product range.
The utility and energy cost is significantly reduced when compared to old and existing high-pressure sodium (HPS) lights used mostly for agricultural purposes. The E50 series is responsible for cutting down the energy costs. The installation of E50 series will be the first of its kind in Europe.
