Tata power which is India’s integrated Power Company whose pillars are based primarily on energy conservation has taken in several initiatives which cater to the greener and brighter, INDIA. The Tata Power is an electric utility company based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and is part of the Tata Group. The main business of the company is to generate, transmit and distribute electricity.
The core business is lighting up of your lives with a focus on keeping it cost effective and energy efficient. Tata Power made the implementation of National-level Program (DELP/UJALA) which is being implemented by M/s. EESL, a Union Govt. Undertaking, basically aimed at increasing the entering of LED lighting in the residential sector easily. The DELP/UJALA program has made possible the distribution of over 1.1 lakh LED bulbs for Tata power consumers in Mumbai during the fiscal year of 2017.
The implementation of UJALA is one of the measures started by Tata Power under the demand side management (DSM) initiative taken. In order to encourage the customers to switch to eco friendly electricity practices, DSM has been created. The main objective of this project, is to promote ‘customer side of the meter’ in order to create a platform for energy saving practices among the consumers.
It has launched purchase, exchange and extended warranty for various home appliances like including Ceiling fans, split ACs, refrigerators, and LED tube lights.
