The famous Ghat on the banks of Ganga in Haridwar and Rishikesh is the place where Hindus believer from all over the world come and take a dip. The holy bath into the sacred water is believed to achieve moksha or salvation. Ganga Ghat in Rishikesh and Haridwar is going to get a make over and get illuminated soon. SEWA-THDC along with Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (ESSL) has signed an agreement which is meant to improve lighting arrangements and will further focus on highlighting these beautiful structures. SEWA-THDC is a company sponsored society of THDC India Limited (THDCIL).
The first phase, is centered on transforming the look of the Ghats by putting high mast LED lights on both ends of Ram Jhula and facade lighting, high mast, semi high mast and facade lights on left bank of river Ganga from Ram Jhula to Parmarth Niketan and facade lighting for Parmarth Niketan Ganga aarti area.
This will help make it easy for millions of visitors and pilgrims from our country and all around the world to enjoy and understand the historical and cultural heritage of Holy River GANGA.
