The Athénée Palace hotel is part of the Hilton chain. To maintain the reputation of this luxury hotel the hall was extensively renovated and the lighting system was replaced, giving the hall a completely new design which incorporated some amazing effects. An intuitive, programmable light management system was installed as part of the renovation process.
A total of 26 Bluetooth enabled OPTOTRONIC BLE DIM LED dimmers provided the basis for wireless – and therefore non-invasive – lighting control via a smartphone or tablet. This made gateways and cables, which are expensive to buy and install, completely superfluous. Users simply had to download the Casambi app on their smart device to control the light.
The Casambi app enables plug & play solutions to be set up without any in-depth knowledge and operated intuitively – everything from dimming and storing scenes, sequences or daylight rhythms to multicolour control and timer-programmable events.
