The Auckland Harbour Bridge is an eight-lane box truss motorway bridge in Auckland, New Zealand. It was fitted with $10 million worth of lights, including 90,000 LED pixels and 100 spotlights, in December 2017. Henceforth, the bridge is lit to mark occasions and celebrate days of significance such as Auckland Anniversary Day, Anzac Day and Matariki. More recently, the city marked New Year with a synchronous display of fireworks and Vector Lights display at the bridge around midnight. The lights exploded into a five-minute spectacular show, designed to complement Sky City’s five-minute fireworks display from the Sky Tower. West Aucklanders were able to view the display from Te Atatu Peninsula.
