Ayodhya has been regarded as one of the seven most important pilgrimage sites (Saptapuri) for Hindus. The Ram Paidi Ghats located in Ayodhya are the bathing ghats constructed on the banks during the period 1984-1985. Recently, the ghats have been installed with Philips color kinetics.
This Diwali around 3 lakh diyas along with the newly installed LED lighting illuminated the temples, platforms as well as the two bridges leading to Ram ki paidi. These lights are going to be a permanent fixture and would illuminate the place every night. The color changing lights accentuated the beauty of the Ghats and the surrounding avenues. Around 136 LED lights in temples along with 70 lights in water body have been used by the Ministry of culture and tourism.
The idea behind the project is to make the entire façade of the temples with changing colour visible when one stands on the ghats. A special theme was put in to mark the occasion of Diwali with color changing lights mimicking the effect of firecrackers.
“Our vibrant Philips Color Kinetics lighting system uses a pallet of 16 million colors that helps to accentuate the beauty and aesthetics of the monument with the most recent illumination of the famous, Ayodhya Ghat in Uttar Pradesh,” commented Mr. Sumit Joshi, CEO, Signify.
