Larson Electronics is a leading American lighting manufacturer. The company manufactures and supplies high power magnetic mount and permanent mount spotlights and floodlights. Recently, they announced the launch of a powerful solar powered explosion proof strobe light that features 360-degree illumination and is powered by four sealed lead acid batteries. This explosion proof LED strobe is charged by a Class I, Division 2 solar panel making it ideal for remote, hazardous locations.
The EPSLED-80-SOL-80C-C1D2-20C is a 7-watt solar proof explosion proof LED strobe light that operates on 12V DC. The solar panel recharges four 12V AC 18aH sealed lead acid batteries fully in 5 hours, which then provide constant, reliable power to the LED lamp. A 24V Class I, Division 2 charge controller and a battery disconnect is included with this unit, as well as a control box equipped with operator’s choice of a day/night sensor, motion sensor, an on/off switch, or no controls.
This lighting system contains an explosion proof LED lamp, housed in cast aluminum with a polyester powder coat finish. This extreme durability allows the LED strobe to survive in hazardous environments and withstand far more abuse than other regular filament-based beacons. 80 feet of 10/2 SOOW cord is included for easy connection of the solar panel to the explosion-proof strobe, and a 20-foot photovoltaic cable is located between the enclosure and the light to mount the panel and control box. The EPSLED-80-SOL-80C-C1D2-20C features an inverted pendant mount for walls or ceilings that ensures maximum strobe visibility and is IP67 rated with a T3C temperature. This LED strobe is UL tested to withstand 1,490 pounds.
