The Magh Mela held every year in Allahabad will see several firsts this time, one of them being the lighting up of the historic Shastri Bridge with LED lights. The Mela authorities alongwith installing a ‘focus light’ to illuminate the historic Akbar fort located on the bank of Ganga-Yamuna, also decided to illuminate the famous Shastri Bridge with LED lights for the first time. After the mela ends, Allahabad Development Authority will continue to maintain the illumination.
