The municipal council has signed a MoU with EESL to install new LED lights at Sonar Fort in Jaisalmer. Around 284 lights around Sonar Fort will be changed to LED lights leading to a decline in energy consumption by 40%. The savings accrued will help maintain lights and other expenses. With the changing of lights, tourists can enjoy the beauty of the fort in the night.
