The lighting system on the Veterans’ Glass City Skyway’s central pylon was illuminated again for a period of two months. As per the Ohio Department of Transportation, it is more dynamic than it was before. The new system, installed by FET Construction Services under a $643,729 contract, features 196 Lumenpulse Lumenfacade LED fixtures whose red, white, blue, and green elements can produce a full spectrum of colours. The lower 45 fixtures in each of the pylon’s four faces are four feet tall and can be programmed to display a different colour in each of four one-foot sections, while the pylon’s peak has four two-foot fixtures facing in each direction.
