The Indian prime minister’s “Make in India” campaign has inspired many in the Indian LED industry to initiate LED manufacturing and related services in the country. Mr. Atul Lotia, an established manufacturer in the industry, decided to pursue the same vision and turn it into a reality. He took up the role of a consultant and digging into his vast experience, started to guide and support entrepreneurs to set up world-class LED luminaire manufacturing facilities in India.
The Formation of Zvision India
Mr. Lotia’s knack for identifying potential opportunities that would benefit the LED market in India soon took him to China, where he visited Zvision, a giant in the field of automation for LED packaging and assembling, ageing and testing machines for LED lamps and luminaire machines.
Impressed with the company’s machines, R&D and engineering team, and certain Zvision’s expertise could vastly contribute to fulfilling the LED related machinery requirement and market potential in India, Mr. Lotia succeeded in convincing Mr. Zhang, MD, Zvison to expand their business to India which resulted in the formation of Zvision India in 2015. The partnership not only gave full marketing rights in India but in other surrounding countries as well.
Automatic LED Bulb Assembly Line
Zvision India is currently selling the automatic LED bulb assembly line in the country. The machine comes with some unique features: it tests and assembles over 25,000 bulbs per day with six person manpower which otherwise would have required over 40 workers and the scope to cause manual error.
Future Growth
Several manufacturers of LED lamp and luminaires witnessed the automatic bulb assembling line at LED Expo last December with Syska having already bought the first machine. Four machines were booked in the first few months of showcasing it and about 20 machines are under negotiations.
After witnessing the encouraging reviews and sales, Mr. Zhang is committed to starting up a new unit in India soon. Zvision India currently has a full fledge marketing and technical team to support sales and services.
