The Electric Tower in Buffalo Gets Illuminated With LED Lighting

One of the most recognizable buildings in Buffalo is the Electric Tower. It was first opened on September 25th, 1912, and designed in the Beaux Arts style by local architects Esenwien & Johnson. Lately, the iconic building got a lighting makeover. The lighting upgrade was undertaken by Iskalo Development Corp. focused on elevating its outdated lighting system at the top of the Electric Tower.

State-of-the-art LED lightscape system was implemented in order to dramatically enhance the look and appeal of the upper face of the architectural beauty. The new installation greatly broadens the spectrum of colors to choose from whenever the building would be illuminated. Also, the energy cost would be tremendously reduced due to the use of the LED lighting.

In the year 2004, Iskalo Development tackled an impressive renovation of the Electric Tower. The recent lighting upgrade is surely going illuminate and turns the skyline of the city brighter and noticeable which was not the case before.

“The Electric Tower was originally constructed during Buffalo’s run as one of America’s largest and most progressive cities,” said Paul B. Iskalo, President and CEO of Iskalo Development Corp. “The Buffalo Niagara region played a prominent role in the advent of the electric age, and the Electric Tower, with its brightly illuminated, gleaming exterior, served as an advertisement for the use and value of electricity.”
