Glamox has won contracts to supply cutting-edge smart lighting systems for North Sea oil platforms, including the Yggdrasil and Valhall PWP-Fenris projects. Approximately 5,000 marine-grade, explosion-proof LED luminaires will be installed on these platforms, ensuring safety and energy efficiency in extreme offshore conditions.
The luminaires will be remotely controlled, enabling seamless operation even on unmanned platforms, reflecting the growing trend toward automation in the energy sector. Scheduled to commence production in 2027, these platforms mark a significant step in sustainable offshore technology.
