The Burj Khalifa known as the Burj Dubai before its inauguration in 2010 is a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. With a total height of 829.8 m (2,722 ft) and a roof height (excluding antenna) of 828 m (2,717 ft), the Burj Khalifa has been the tallest structure in the world since its topping out in late 2008. If you are planning a visit to Dubai and searching for a way to light up your Dubai nights, look no further than the new Burj Khalifa light show that has been launched recently.
The new Burj Khalifa light show features an eye-popping and splendid LED display that starts every evening after sunset. Visitors to Downtown Dubai can catch the show daily. It has been created by Hungarian designer Freelusion, the show is part of Burj Khalifa’s recent open call to designers, light and 3D mapping artists to have their work displayed on the façade of the structure. 10 artists have been shortlisted and are set to be featured in the coming months. The tall structure is very famous with the tourists and the new lighting installed is definitely something to watch when visiting.
Now, the Burj Khalifa has come up with its latest extravaganza – a dazzling LED show by Hungarian 3D dance troupe Freelusion, who are known for their creative use of video mapping technology. And, if you are a fan of the show Britain’s Got Talent, that name might sound familiar. Freelusion actually made it to the semi-finals of the talent show in 2013. And after viewing their performance Simon Cowell commented, “It is like looking 10 years into the future”.
