Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has come up with a new metal-core-based cool white LED power module that features 12 high-brightness LEDs with high luminous flux of 4000 lm each at 1A. Further, to simplify design and manufacturing processes, the company’s VLSL12A03-3Q3T-50A can be combined with off-the-shelf LEDiL quadruple lenses, while its integrated small thermal sensor (NTCS0603E347JHT) and fourfold plug-in connector (87438-0443) eliminate the need for additional soldering.
Designed and developed for use in indoor as well as outdoor lighting including streetlights, tunnel lights, industrial lights, besides other general lighting applications, the 12 LM80-certified LEDs of the VLSL12A03-3Q3T-50A are serially connected on an aluminum metal-core, single-side PCB measuring (161x50x2) mm and featuring a shiny white surface. To allow for a variety of emission patterns, this layout is compatible with LEDiL 2×2 STRADA and High Bay quadruple lenses.
Based on InGaN (indium gallium nitride) technology, the VLSL12A03-3Q3T-50A provides a maximum current of 1,500 mA, colour temperature range from 4700K to 5500K, power dissipation of 55W, and forward voltage from 33.6V to 40.8V at 1A. The LED module offers an angle of half intensity of ± 60° and luminous flux binning. RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and Vishay Green, the device provides ESD withstand voltage up to 2 kV in accordance with JESD22-A114-B.
