Electronics giant Samsung has reached a benchmark for its high-power packaged LEDs with major upgrade in its industry-leading performance levels. The efficacy of Samsung’s LH351B package that features 173lm/W (85°C, 350mA) has recorded an escalation of 8% over its last year’s performance thus marked its supremacy once again when it comes to enhancing the efficacy level. No wonder, this south Asian technology player is always on the move with its innovative breakthroughs.

With Samsung’s proprietary TZ chip structure and exclusive PSS (Patterned Sapphire Substrate) technology, the LH351B has been designed to deliver exceptionally high brightness, and offers top-of-the-line operating voltage through an electrode structure that provides even current distribution of current. To add further, Samsung film phosphors in the LH351B help to achieve outstanding color stability. With such a small footprint measuring 3.5 mm x 3.5 mm, the LH351B facilitates even light distribution under any beam angle, hot binning @ 85℃, functions at a maximum current of up to 1.5 A, and has completed 10,000 hours of LM-80 testing @ 1 A, 105℃.

Considering efficiency and reliability as the crucial factors, the LH351B is considered to be highly reliable as it has a high lumen density, optimized for outdoor lighting applications such as security lights and street lights, where high-performance lighting is needed over extended periods of time. Further, the sleek Samsung light source simplifies the solution designing with a second optic lens thereby making it appropriate for high-density street lighting with typical lighting distribution designs.
